Scope of Work:

Reports to the FTTR QA/Safety lead and assists in implementing effective Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Programs for the contract. The quality program will encompass all functional areas to include contractual provisions and PWS requirements. Provides guidance to the CTTR site Management and Supervisors on QA / Safety issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with the approved QA and Occupational Safety and Health Plans (OSHP).
  • Maintains the approved QA/Safety programs to ensure compliance with requirements in training, environmental concerns, maintenance, operations, range safety, fire prevention, security, facility maintenance, supply, configuration management, engineering management, and program management, as a minimum.
  • Conducts in-depth audits of each functional area to assess quality management system implementation.
  • Participates in or conducts technical or special inspections as required.
  • Provides support for the Government’s Quality Control inspections.
  • Maintains files of site QA inspections, including documentation of results and corrective actions
  • Assists in the development/revision of Work Instructions (WIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) for all range O&M functions
  • Assists in the development of Acceptance Test Plans and procedures for new system integrations, overhauls, equipment modifications, and facility modifications.
  • Assists with Acceptance Testing.
  • Acts as focal point for all safety inspections, reporting, and safety analysis.
  • Monitors configuration control compliance, data collection and reporting, including CDRLs.
  • Follows established procedures to support implementation of quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Complies with all applicable range regulations.
  • Provides technical training assistance through on-the-job Training (OJT) as required.
  • Uses the IMS to schedule QA and Safety Audits and Inspections.
  • Uses the IMS for tracking corrective actions from initiation through closure.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Three years’ experience in quality assurance/control methodology and safety programs.
  • Three years’ technical experience with complex electronic systems
  • Three years’ experience with Tactical Training Range systems
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy “C” School or vocational school with formal training in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturer training.
  • ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor certified.
  • Formal Quality Management training.
  • Formal Environmental, Safety and Health training.
