Scope of Work:

Successful Candidate will join a team focused on the implementation of our current Windows-based client application across iOS platform phones and tablets. 

You will be working with our candid and collaborative team, where your knowledge and advice about mobile application testing and the newest mobile technologies will be highly appreciated. The test scripts you write will need to be cleanly organized, of the highest quality, and easy to maintain. You may also test to ensure solid application performance and an excellent user experience. 

The government program office is Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio.  The development and support team are geographically dispersed and teleworking our daily working protocol.   The program requires highly qualified, self-motivated, proactive persons who work well with others with limited supervision.  

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and document test cases for multi-component systems from requirements and existing Windows-based application. 
  • Coordinate and communicate with developers on bug fixes and required modifications. 
  • Execute test cases and document software defects. 
  • Take ownership of software defects from discovery through to closure. 
  • Requires good analysis and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Provide Test Summary & Test Exit Reports. 
  • Assist in project requirements analysis. 
  • Review documentation including System Design Document (SDD), Unit Test documents and contribute to Test Specifications for Requirements Operational Testing (ROT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 
  • During the Build and TestPhase you will support or perform the following: 
    • ETIMS II Contractor Component Validation and Integration Test (CVIT) in Cloud One Development Lab (C1D)
    • Test Readiness Review (TRR) I
    • Integrated Test Team Integration and Test of the system in the Cloud 1 Test 
    • UAT and Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) in Cloud 1 Test 
    • Final system documentation and artifact package submission and approval and 
    • Authority to Proceed
  • Experience with Usability, Functional, and Regression testing. 
  • Have a testing mindset with a passion for quality. 
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills. 
  • Ability to deliver quality documentation. 
  • Excellent organizational skills to focus on the tasks at hand. 
  • A good understanding of agile software development. 
  • A positive and enthusiastic outlook both within the team and when working alone. 
  • Be highly motivated and demonstrate the willingness to learn and to grow within the role.
  • Extensive knowledge about mobile app development. This includes the whole process, from the first line of code to implementing in production (publishing in the stores)
  • Knowledge of iOS platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile Development
  • Proficiency with identifying the requirements needed in automated tests
  • Familiarity with Automated Test Tools, preferably Test Complete
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
  • Familiarity with the Government’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Familiarity with push notifications
  • Understanding mobile app design guidelines on each platform and being aware of their differences
  • Great organizational skills  
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Ability to keep current with the latest developments and trends with the technology 
  • Problem-solving skills are of greater importance  
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken forms  
  • Ability to take initiatives without being prompted

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline and 3-5 years of cross domain mobile app development experience or 10 years of highly relevant experience 
  • Competence in the three known operating systems – Android, iOS, and Windows will be an added advantage 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with handset testing and handset platforms in particular Android, iOS, 3 to 5 years overall testing experience 
  • Experience with DOD programs and requirements.
