KIRA inducted into the Staples Foundation for Learning/ICIC Hall of Fame
KIRA President/CEO, Carlos Garcia accepted the accolade on behalf of KIRA from Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, Barry Johnson. Staples Foundation for Learning is a private foundation that is the charitable arm of Staples, and ICIC is one of its non-profit partners. For the past six years, Staples has helped fund the Inner City 100 list and has contributed nearly $1 million in support to ICIC and the Inner City 100 program.
KIRA ranks in the Top 500
For the fifth year in a row, Hispanic Business Magazine has named KIRA one of the top 500 minority-owned businesses in the United States. KIRA has been moving up the rankings during the past several years and now ranks #89. To be considered for the Top 500, which measures both performance and progress, you must be headquartered in the U.S. and ownership needs to be at least 51% Hispanic U.S. citizen.
KIRA named one of the Inner City 100 for 2009
Today, the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) released its 2009 Inner City 100 list, and KIRA is ranked 50 on the list of the fastest growing inner-city companies in America. Innovative practices and sustained growth are the predominant traits of the 2009 Inner City 100, a ranking of the 100 fastest-growing businesses in inner city communities nationwide.

KIRA awarded SHARP certification
KIRA has been awarded SHARP certification, from OSHA, for the company's Fort Carson, Colorado project site. The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Acceptance into SHARP by OSHA is an achievement of status that singles out businesses as models for worksite safety and health.
